Linda Falls Preserve: A Hidden Gem of Natural Beauty in Napa Valley

By Amber T.

The aptly named Linda Falls Preserve is a 177-acre piece of land in the hills of Angwin within the scenic Las Posadas State Forest. Originally part of the La Jota Land Grant, this acreage was donated to the Land Trust of Napa County just about twenty years ago, and has been protected as a preserve ever since. “Linda” means “beautiful” in Spanish, and there’s no better way to appreciate the beauty of this land than by taking a short hike out to the namesake of this preserve, Linda Falls. This 50-foot waterfall is composed of volcanic rock, covered in blankets of moss and the chilly Conn Creek watershed.
